WELCOME TO SUSAN LINDGREN PTO!

The mission of the Susan Lindgren Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to fund and organize activities to enrich the education of students and strengthen the school community. We also serve as a place for parents/guardians, students, teachers, and administrators to raise issues, share information, and learn more about topics that support our children’s education.  Each and every parent and caregiver is automatically a member of the PTO and we welcome your involvement in many ways!

Through a handful of fundraisers, we raise $40,000 a year which funds numerous events and activities including:
  • Student enrichment activities such as field trips, in-school experiences, the school garden, and June Jamboree;
  • Events for the whole family to enjoy like Fall Festival, Festival of Nations, Math Night, Book Fair, and the Imagination Fair (previously Student Showcase Fair)
  • Four PTO meetings, open to all parents/caregivers, include guest speakers, PTO, school, and district news, plus connecting with parents
  • Free yearbooks for every student, an online family directory, and an online spiritwear store
  • Teacher & staff appreciation events, classroom needs (e.g. winter gear), and other building needs that arise.
The PTO raises funds through a variety of fundraisers including SLP Read$, Silent Auction, & Dine Out Night Fundraisers.  Read about each of these on the Fundraising page.

All PTO events are free to attend and are made possible because Susan Lindgren parents and caregivers find time to contribute and volunteer in a variety of ways. Can you make a donation to help that mission? Contributions of any amount are welcome and are fully tax-deductible.

PTO MEETINGS

All parents, guardians, and teachers are automatically members of the PTO! You are welcome and encouraged to attend any and all of the five PTO meetings. It is a great way to learn more about what is happening in the school community and to connect with other parents.  Meetings are held in the school media center with school news from Principal Pollock, PTO sponsored event updates, and often a guest speaker from the SLP community with a relevant topic. There is free childcare and a pizza dinner for kids provided for all meetings.
